Description

To refer to this North Dallas steakhouse as upscale would be an understatement. Three Forks provides a unique, elegant setting to enjoy steak and seafood cuisine with a French flair. Owned and operated by Dale Wamstad of Del Frisco's fame, the establishment exudes personalized service and chic style. This trendy spot is a favorite among local celebrities, so you never know whom you might see here. The five million dollar restaurant's gold-domed building is lavishly decorated with giant wall murals and Tiffany-stained glass windows in the ceiling. The well-trained, professional staff will gladly help you order from the unbelievable wine selection including a $35,000 bottle of 1926 Chateau Brion.

Crab cakes or shrimp cocktails are a nice way to start out this culinary adventure; both are deliciously light. For an entree, delve into one of the succulent beef selections or try some fresh seafood, which is flown in daily to ensure that only the finest quality of lobster, shrimp, fish or crab legs served.

When you come to Dallas, a great steak is a must. And there's no better place than III Forks. It has a fine Texas-French menu with superb service and atmosphere. When you arrive, take advantage of the free valet parking (of course a tip is appropriate). For an appetizer, we ordered the lobster bisque and it was seasoned perfectly. For the main course we had the baseball cut filet mignon (10 oz.). All of their beef is exclusively prime beef, and it makes all the difference. Of course, there are other options for the main course (seafood, veal and lamb) but in my opinion, it seems a waste to go to such a fine steak restaurant and not get the steak! Their wine menu is extensive and the waiters are educated in helping you make a decision. And finally, we had the creme brulle - and it was perfect. If you are a cigar smoker, their humidor has a wide selection of cigars that you can enjoy in the cigar room after your meal.
