If your going to a night club save yourself the hassle of paying for every drink and buy an open bar bracelet! Its the smart thing to do!

Best Way To Get Around:

Bus is the cheapest way to get around! It doesn't rip you off! Some times there are nice taxi drivers. There is this one guy that offers you a ride for the same price as the bus. He is very nice and will show you his postcard collection from around the world. Look for him if you want to take a taxi! His car says Same As Bus on the side. Also ask him to tell you how to say "same price as the bus" in like 15 languages!

Visiting Chichen Itza was a very surprising activity. I am not much for the sit and stare at bricks kind of thing but I made an exception and went to this historical site. The more things I saw there the more this place intrigued me. It was very mind boggling how these Mayan people actually built these enormous structures. Our tour guide also talked about how the Mayans would play certain games for days at a time in front of large crowds. They still played these games even though they new the loser would be killed. Outside of the main ruin area are tons of paths filled with merchants trying to sell or barter imitation Mayan artifacts. Normally you can get them to go to dirt cheap prices. I recommend buying a "Mayan" blanket they are very warm. Everyone should definitely check this place out its the next best thing to visiting the pyramids in Egypt.

Coco Bongo was my favorite nightclub in Cancun. It was a night club mixed with a little Vegas flair. They had amazing acrobatic shows almost every hour. My favorite shows were the rope dancers. People would be lifted into the air on what looked like twisted sheets and they would spin and flip and twirl around the sheets. I wish I could do that. Between the shows they played all assortments of music from the YMCA to Sandstorm. People danced up on chairs and bars to escape the crowd on the floor. Luckily I found this small raised platform about a foot off the ground to dance on. During the musical intermissions of the performances there were these "whistle girls" lurking around. They would come up to you and blow their whistle in your face and then start to force shots of some kind of alcohol down your throat. Then they would ask for money after. Beware of the whistle girls you'll leave broke! At the end of the night around 4ish the crowed starts to dwindle and they play mostly Spanish music. We left the club at 4:30am and when we got out side we were shocked at how hot it was outside as compared to where we just were. (The club is nicely air-conditioned so you can dance you butt off and not sweat a drop.) It was a great club and I will have to go back again.

I loved my Hard Rock Cafe Cancun experience. I have been to many Hard Rock's around the world and this one was one of the best. They had great service and an AMAZING band playing cover songs. I have found that Hardrock always has great food and even better drinks!. I would suggest getting the B-59 shooter! YUM YUM!

Open bar writs bands are definitely the way to go in Cancun. Its so much easier to just walk up to the bar and order with out having to dig out money in a crowded area. It makes for a funner and worry free time. (Do not buy an open bar band for a bar if your only going to have one or two drinks)I suggest an open bar wrist band mostly for nightclubs. They are sold by people on the street in front of the discotech of choice.
