My friend and I decided to try this restaurant in Belleville. It is located off the beaten track and if you did not know it was there you would probably not come across it. It is a seafood restaurant.
The restaurant is small with around 10-12 tables and is very casual. We were greeted by the server who was very pleasant and given iced water and our menus. The menu had many items most of which of course were fish based, but there were chicken and other dishes.
We both chose the same item which was shrimp and sun-dried tomato penne. We then waited, and waited. In fact it was some 40 minutes before we received our meal. We were chatting so it didn't really matter, other than we were hungary, but to some it might be too much of a wait, especially for a meal such as shrimp and pasta which are quick to cook.
When we got our meals we were both expecting the sauce to be sun-dried tomato as per the menu but it was more of an alfredo and very creamy. It looked nice and was served with bread, but perhaps wasn't quite what we were expecting.
I was unimpressed with the meal. It was okay, but only okay. The sauce was a little more creamy than I would like, but my friend liked hers. It was not the most tasty meal though and quite bland. even the bread was not garlic bread, or if it was, it was very bland.
When we were finished we were offered desserts. There is no menu, they just have various options. We chose, again the same, triple chocolate mousse. It was presented beautifully, but when we put our forks in found them to be frozen solid. We had to wait until they thawed a little before we could eat them. It was nice once we could do this.
When the server asked us if we liked the dessert, we mentioned that it was difficult to eat being so frozen, she just laughed.
Overall, we were disappointed and probably wouldn't return.
