Whether it's braving the spray at Iguassu Falls or just lounging on the famous sands of Copacabana Beach, you'll find no shortage of ways to spend your days in Brazil.

Rio de Janeiro could be a trip unto itself, and any visitor to the city must pay a visit to the Christ the Redeemer Statue. Perched on the cliffs of Corcovado, the 130 foot tall statue is a symbol recognized worldwide, and from its base you'll be treated to a world-class view of Rio, Sugarloaf Mountain, the UFO-like Contemporary Art Museum (MAC), the Guanabara Bay and Ipenema and Copacabana beaches.

Brazil's fascinating geography is on display at Iguassu Falls, in the heart of Parque Nacional Iguazu. Located where the waters of the Iguazu River cascade off the Parana Plateau, Iguassu Falls boasts over 275 individual waterfalls, the largest of which, Devil's Throat, is a massive 270 feet high. Double-decker buses tour visitors through the park to the falls, where extended walkways give you a view that's just close enough for comfort.

With world-famous beaches like Ipanema and Copacabana, no trip to Brazil is complete without some quality time on the sand. Copacabana is known for its 2.5 miles of clean white sands and excellent nightlife, making it a favorite among locals and tourists alike. The beaches at Itacare are another incredible option. Here you can choose from more than 15 beaches nestled among palm-covered hills and outcrops of rainforest. Some of Itacare's beaches are replete with hotels, bars and restaurants, while others are seemingly untouched by modern life. Pantano do Sul is another unspoiled enclave. A traditional fishing village on the southern end of Florianapolis, visitors can enjoy long days on the mile-long beach, and long nights of dining on some of the freshest catch around.
