If you have a sweet tooth, and are a confectionery lover, this is the place in Boston that you can't miss. Their best well-known signature desserts are the Creme Brulee and the Molten Chocolate. The desserts are made to order, and they have an open kitchen where you can see the dessert chef decorating your desserts. The desserts are all well decorated, delicate, and absolutely delicious.
The overall atmosphere in Finale is romantic, with very dim lights and lighted candles on tables. Finale serves mainly desserts, and only have few entries for light dinner appetizers.
There are two finale locations currently; one in downtown, Columbus Ave, and one in Harvard Square. They're opening another one in Coolidge Corner soon. This place is very crowded on weekend nights, and the wait usually take at least 30 minutes. My recommendation is if you're sure you're going on a weekend night, call in and reserve a table.
Finale has an open bar and bakery, where you can hang out while waiting for a table. The bakery offers a variety of miniature desserts and cakes; they have a mini creme brulee for take away, but for the best indulgence experience, you'll have to sit down and enjoy it when the creme brulee is freshly burned, warm, and crispy.
