Rainforest Cafe

The Rainforest Cafe is a fun dining experience. It is a combination store and restaurant that is, of course, rainforest-themed. When I entered the restaurant, I could hear jungle sounds all around. The entire inside looks like a jungle, complete with mechanical animals. The animals moved every few minutes, and seemed fairly lifelike. Also, the bar was shaped like a giant mushroom, and it rained at the bar every fifteen minutes, complete with the sounds of thunder. The barstools were adorable, and had the prints and tails of various animals, including giraffes, tigers, and monkeys. The ceiling looked like a starry night, which created a feeling of being outdoors. There was also a fountain on one wall, which makes a great photo opportunity. The restaurant has a great atmosphere for both children and those still young at heart.

The menu also follows a jungle theme. The items have rainforest names, but the food is fairly normal. While the Rainforest Cafe is pricey, you get a nice portion for the cost and a fun environment to dine in.

Although we stayed in an all inclusive resort, we wanted to see what the rest of the strip had to offer.

On previous vacations we have visited RAINFOREST CAFE's and wanted to add the Cancun restaurant to our list of visited locations.

We stopped in after a morning of shopping and caught some lunch. The atmosphere was incredable as are all RAINFOREST CAFE's with robotic animals surrounding the dining area and a thunderstorm brewing overhead.

We spent on average $30 USD for a couple Corronas and an enjoyable lunch. It was a nice addition to our list of chain locations.

We are a family with 3 children, ages 8, 10 and 12. The kids love the Rainforest Cafe in Cancun. We have to go back every year we visit there. They have lots of free entertainment as you dine, including an awesome clown that visits tables and makes balloon characters for all the kids. (He accepts tips, of course.) The food is good and you have all the standard choices from hamburgers, chicken strips to salads.

The floor show here is spectacular. The food is acceptable and very reasonably priced. The portions are large and the non-alcoholic drinks are bottomless. The air-conditioning is wonderful after the walk to the shopping center.

If you have little ones along they will delight in the decor, but steer clear of the shopping area on the way out--the Rainforest Cafe gear can be high priced.

Rainforest Cafe in Cancun is quite large. It's a fun place to eat out, especially if you have kids. We didn't, and went with friends but it was still great fun. The food is superb.
