Worst Gelateria in Rome

Quote: This gelateria serves the worst gelato in Rome. We were so dissapointed! We shoudl have known it was clearly a tourist trap but we decided to give it a chance. Bad choice. Their flavors are all a mixed of Twix, Snickers or other artificially flavored ingredients which does not represent the Italian gelato at all. Also the gelato was just plain bad. We love gelato and we couldn't even finished any of the four flavors we tried. There are many other good gelaterias in Rome don't waste your time and money in this one.

Quote: A gelateria near the Pantheon and undoubtedly one of the best places to get your gelato in Rome. I decided that I'd give gelato a try and this was my first stop. I paid 2 euros for a decent sized cup with coconut and chocolate flavours and believe me...it was heavenly. Two euros, in my opinion, is a steal when you look at all the other gelaterias around Rome (where they may charge you 4 euros upwards for a small-sized cup!). Make sure you stop by this place after visiting the Pantheon or Trevi Fountain!

Quote: Just off Piazza della Rotonda, this ice-cream parlor is not the best in Rome, although it’s in the top five, but it has the most extensive chocolate selection (chocolate, truffle, orange-chocolate, Milky Way, sacher torte…)! Getting into a gelateria is like entering a dream… there are so many flavours to choose from (50+, I think), and with flavors unknown to foreigners. Yummy!!! They also serve coffee and sodas. My favourites are tangerine with orange-chocolate, sacher-torte and pistachio, limoncello (lemon liqueur typical from Italy) and coconut, Rafaello and tiramisu. I usually love mixing a creamy ice cream with a fruity sherbet for a kick! The, you can walk back to Piazza della Rotonda and enjoy your ice cream while... Read More

Quote: After discovering Della Palma, we visited it at least once a day to get our daily gelato fix. Their selection is amazing! Too many choices-- you're bound to go back for more! Flavors from pear and mango to Baci and Ferroro Rocher. The scoops here are larger than Giolitti's, but it's hard to say which is better. Pay and get a receipt from the cashier before ordering. The white tartufo is also quite tasty and at 3000 L, it's a bargain! Avoid the tiramisu which is frozen. Frulattis are good too but not quite chilled enough to make it refreshing. You can choose which fruits you want blended together. For mousse lovers, there are a variety of flavored mousses to choose from. Della Palma also sell candy if you're craving even more... Read More
