What are the absolute "must-sees" on everyone's list? Can we fit in 3-5 sights/activities?
p.s. And we want real, REAL, NY pizza. Suggestions?

If you ask 10 people what to do in NYC then you will get 10 answers. That is the problem with generic tell me what to do questions.
My list included:
3 Broadway shows in a weekend
visiting the Guggenheim
visiting MOMA
Circle Line tour past the Statue of Liberty (day and evening)
Brooklyn Botanical Gardens
Times Square
Madam Tusseuds
Central Park
Vising the David Letterman show
You may love all of these things or you may hate them depending on what you like to do.
Start by going to the CVB website at www.nycgo.com and look around there for things you enjoy and fit your time frame and budget.
While we were there we went to John's pizza in the theather district. It is loced near the Nederlander where RENT once played. They have some amazing pizza and they are the biggest pizzera in the US. Their website is www.johnspizzerianyc.com.

Hello,
I think you can definitely fit in 3-5 sights/activities! (Or even more, as vampirefan did.) :)
My personal must-sees, if you haven't done them already, would be:
-A walk across the Brooklyn Bridge (from Manhattan to Brooklyn), ending at Grimaldi's for a slice of pizza (some claim it's the best around!)
-A trip to the Top of the Rock at sunset
-A walk around Central Park
-A walk around Greenwich Village to Washington Square Park
-A Broadway show (grab half-price tickets at TKTS at Times Square or the South Street Seaport)
Have a great trip,
Michelle
