We spend our second week in this resort. So it was great having the big-screen TV and the Roman jacuzzi tub, we were ready just to relax.

The unit has a full kitchen & a dining area. The living room has a sofa sleeper, TV, VCR and patio. The master bedroom has a king bed, TV, patio, and full bath. The second bedroom has 2 beds, & TV. The second bedroom also has a full bath that connects with the living room.

My kids went back several times to the ray lagoon, where you can snorkel, wade and play with dozens of southern and cow-nose rays. They even found some ray teeth on the bottom of the lagoon that they took home as a souvenir.

Sunbathe on the beach or, just chill out in the freshwater lagoon. Snorkel the invitingly warm, freshwater tropical river wind your way through a variety of underwater landscapes. This is a great place to learn to snorkel, because there is not any sea life. Snorkel past the dense rainforest. Enjoy the echoes in the underwater cave. Soak in water cascades as you go through rocky waterfalls. Visit the interactive aviary.

The Free Flight Aviary has over 250 tropical birds. My kids enjoyed feeding the birds; they will land right on your arm.

Discovery Cove’s unique coral reef is an unforgettable swim! Snorkel through the colorful reefs, shipwreck remains and grottos. Spend as much time as you desire coming face-to-face with countless species of exotic fish, staring into the enormous eyes of giant rays. Catch a glimpse of sharks and barracudas as they swim safely behind protective glass in the shipwreck. What a very beautiful snorkeling experience!

Discovery Cove’s Dolphin Swim is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! The Dolphin Swim gives you a chance to talk, touch, play and swim with a bottlenose dolphin. Discovery Cove is home to 30 of these amazing marine mammals. The Dolphin Swim begins with an interactive orientation in a secluded cabanas which includes a brief video presentation on dolphin characteristics, how to use hand signals and positive reinforcement to communicate with your dolphin and various safety guidelines. Next off to the Dolphin Lagoon. The Dolphin Swim consists of feeding the dolphin, learning and giving it several hand signals to do tricks. Kissing and rubbing down the dolphin and riding on the dolphin’s back! This was a truly wonderful experience to bring a tear to your eyes.

Shows:

Shamu: watch this terrific killer whale’s shows. Watch Shamu interact with his trainers. The day show and the night shows are different. So see both!

Odyssea: A Cirque du Soleil like show that transports guests from the surface of the sea to the depths of the ocean .

Clyde and Seamore Pirate show: Clyde and Seamore are sea lions and their trainers are pirates. This show is hilarious and fun! A must see.

Animal attractions:

Dolphin Nursery: See the baby dolphin calves with their mothers. They are so adorable.

Dolphin Cove: Interactive dolphin pools where you can feed the dolphins during designated times throughout the day.

Shark Encounter: Walk though the world's largest, underwater acrylic tunnel. Where you’ll be just inches away from eels, barracuda, venomous fish and SHARKS!

Rides:

Kraken, the monster of all roller coasters, is the tallest, fastest, longest and only floorless roller coaster in Orlando. It has lots of spirals and lots of loops.

Journey to Atlantis - not just a water ride. Spirits who want to keep Atlantis - and you - for their own chase you! Drop into a huge splash, but that is not the end of the ride - it then turns into a roller coaster ride.

Wild Arctic: A helicopter motion simulator to a remote research station -- the panoramic views are breathtaking, but on the trip you will avoid Arctic hazards and return safely to the research base before the snowstorm closes in.

Shamu's Happy Harbor: Little ones can climb four stories of nets, shoot through tunnels, cool down in a splashy water maze and slip down nine slippery slides!

The "Anheuser-Busch Hospitality Center": features samples of Anheuser-Busch products (for guests 21 years of age and older). Go to the Budweiser Beer School and receive your official brewmaster certificate. Another plus is that the center is air-conditioned!

Congo River Rapids: get drenched on this whitewater river ride!

Gwazi: a double wooden roller coaster. Ride both the lion and the tiger!

Kumba: a steel coaster with a 135-ft drop and a 110-ft loop!

Montu: an inverted coaster with a 60-ft vertical loop and speed of 60 mph!

Python: a steel coaster with a double spiral corkscrew and a 70-ft plunge!

Stanley Falls: a log flume with a 40-ft drop that will get you drenched!

Tanganyika Tidal Wave: a 20-passenger boat ride through a tranquil jungle that ends in a 55 ft drop causing a tidal wave!

Shows:

Katonga: a musical with several African storytellers, telling stories of animal folklore.

R.L. Stine’s Haunted Lighthouse: an interactive 3-D movie about a haunted lighthouse.

Edge of Africa: walk though this habitat and see hippos, hyenas, lions, baboons and more!

Serengeti Plain: features hundreds of African animals. Ride the Serengeti Express, the Skyride or walk through to see this exhibit.

Myombe Reserve: see gorillas and chimpanzees in a naturalistic setting!
