The heart of Zihuatanejo is the waterfront walkway called the malecón. This tree-lined pedestrian walkway goes along the municipal beach between the archaeological museum and the fishing pier. Zihuatanejo has many restaurants offering seafood and many other dishes, as well as a variety of stores selling arts and crafts and souvenirs, and a small shell market. We were on the Cruise Ship Radiance of the Seas, we spent the day in this beautiful place.
