Musee d'Orsay Best of IgoUgo

Attraction | "D´Orsay"

Quote:
Particularly, I was more interested by this than by the Louvre museum. This has a modern architecture in its interior, and well lit. The D'Orsay is also visible during the boat trip on the Seine River, having a beautiful facade with a central clock once illuminating the façade during the night and being a great window into the interior during the day. What caught my attention in this museum was the selection of works exhibited there, having a large selection of works by very famous artists like Van Gogh, Monet, Degas, Renoir and many others. In this museum, I could see the pictures which I had the first contact when small. The feeling of watching the pictures and get ahead of one which you had co...Read More

Musée du Louvre Best of IgoUgo

Attraction | "Art... art and more art!"

Quote:
Great museum located in Paris, France, has a valuable selection of works of art. The main work of this museum is the Monalisa by Leonardo Da Vinci. Which is located in a room that was quite full with tourists taking pictures of it. I admit that was a little disappointing to enter the room and see a painting so famous and important in the history of art as a framework that small. Despite this disappointment, it was very interesting to get in contact with a female representation so mysterious. In addition to the Mona Lisa in the Louvre, I could be in contact with other works of great value in history, as the statue of Venus de Milo, who drew my attention more than the Monalisa. The task of carving...Read More

Bateaux-Mouches Best of IgoUgo

Attraction | "Paris Highlights by the river"

Quote:
Thats a nice ride at the Seine River. You get the tickets on time or you can book it earlier. The harbor is close to the eiffel tower feet. We went when was dawn/sun setting down, so the view was spectacular to see the sun fade away shining on the river and the eiffel tower on the background. On this boat ride, you pass by very important buildings and places you will also go since you're visiting paris. The architecture os the buildings are amazing and when the lights go on they look prettier with a romantic look. From the bateau mouche you will pass by the musee d'orsay, notre dame and others. If you are going in a romantic trip to Paris, this is a must do! There are even ba...Read More

Moulin Rouge Best of IgoUgo

Attraction | "Can you Can-Can?!!"

Quote:
I didnt have much time to enjoy the show, but we made a quick stop to look around and take some pictures.
From outside you feel like you are inside the movie. All those shining red lights get the attention in the street that you wont expect so much. the energy around the moulin rouge is joyful as everyone plays around with the dance outside to take pictures.
Next time there, i'll definitely going to a show.

Les Invalides Best of IgoUgo

Attraction | "Napoleon´s tomb"

Quote:
What caught my attention in this museum was the area where is Napoleon´s Tomb. It is located beneath a dome full of a beautiful painting, and a large living room with a giant sarcophagus in the center. It's funny to see that a sarcophagus so huge is for a person who was so small and tiny. This shows the need that Napoleon had to feel powerful, to feel great that accompanied Napoleon even after his death.

There is also some statues representing the military of France.

Musee de l'Armee Best of IgoUgo

Attraction | "Musée de l´Armée"

Quote:
At the Les Invalides there is a Musée de l´Armée. This museum is a museum of the French army, having a large number of objects used during the wars in history. This museum is interesting to observe the evolution of weapons and armor. Even horse armor are exposed in this museum. The selection of weapons also draws plenty of attention, where the cables are well-crafted, with carved designs in various materials, some marble, some of gold. The most diverse weapon models are exhibited in this museum. The armor is exposed demonstrating the differences between social classes. The armor of kings and nobles are over worked, with many layers of protection, always with the best material and more ...Read More

Eiffel Tower Best of IgoUgo

Attraction | "Uh La La!"

Quote:
First tourist spot that i got to go when i just arrived in Paris.
Located in the middle of the city you can just walk from there to the Trocadero and for Les Invalides.
The eiffel tower is a magnific iron structure.
Everyone should get up there to have a wonderful view of the city of Paris. From up there you can see almost the whole city and get to know from above some of the spot you will go or will arleady have gone to.
don't be aftaid of the elevador, because it's a panoramic and you will see the iron structure just passing by you while is getting higher and higher.
