In the L'Eixample district, near to La Pedrera (Gaudi apartment building), and the fantastic shopping street, Passeig de Gracia. A few blocks away from Diagonal, another fantastic shopping street. Ultra modern, French owned hotel in an area that was designed in the 19th century. My tiny room was extremely well designed, but had no place for over-sized American suitcases! Japanese style closets with sliding doors, FREE mini bar, and a lavish bathroom, but yypical style of two twin beds. TV with international channels. Roof deck with pool and great views. Multi-lingual staff. Extremely high quality food and other services. Did I say luxury bathroom? Some rooms have balconies which face an interior courtyard. Fine view of the neighbors! Automated wake up call service. High quality bath products including tooth brushes, combs, the usual soap products, razors and other disposables.
Our rate included breakfast. The listings for this hotel often say that breakfast is separate. Verify!
Wonderful neighborhood for wandering around. This hotel is all style and service. What more do you need? You have to insert your keycard into a slot inside your door to turn on the electricity. Be smart, get 2 keycards so you can leave your a/c on and continue to charge camera batteries. The electricity for the mini bar also turns off, so be careful if you are storing meds that require a certain temperature. You can't adjust the temp in the mini bar. Every hotel we stayed in in Spain had this system for electricity. No ice, no ice machines. Very hard for a Texan!
I love this hotel. I can't give it a high enough rating. If you want an antique atmostphere, this isn't the place, but it is so chic!
