Great Stay in Savannah

  • 5 out of 5 stars A traveler from Travelocity.com

Quote: Easy to find. We stayed in the suite with our toddler - plenty of room for all. Rooms were clean. Continental breakfas, bedtime snacks, hot drink bar were all a great benefit. The staff was always friendly and courteous. Hotel in short walking distance to all downtown has to offer. Very nearby trolley tours, history museum. Hotel on-site parking was just fine. My husband used the gym during the evenings for a run/bike workout. Would definitely stay again!

Excellent location and staff was very friendly!

Quote: We are planning another trip back to Savannah and I would definitely stay here again. It was within walking distance of the trolley, which you can take everywhere, and they were very nice about letting us park our car until we left town at 3:00 that day, instead of moving it again. They had a nice continental breakfast with hot potatoes, eggs, fresh fruit, and many options. They need more seating in their dining room though. The only problems I noticed were with guest attitudes. People seemed to be very rude, especially at breakfast. Perhaps spreading out the stations more and letting people access things from two sides would help. There was a lot of reaching and grabbing. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Loved the... Nice Hotel

Quote: My wife and I checked in to this hotel for our anniversary. It was located close to the Savannah Welcome Center and transport around the town could be quickly obtained there. The hotel was nice and well kept, though it was abviously not a new hotel. Once we got to our room, we were impressed with the shower area which was better than most we have seen. Our room itself was also nicely decorated and comfortable (except for the half pillows which are used instead of a standard pillow). Slept well and went down to enjoy their hot breakfast buffet. It was standard fare such as yogurt, bagels, biscuits, fruit, danishes, eggs, sausage... Still a good start to the morning. The staff at the hotel were all very pleasant to talk to and took... hotel Review

Quote: I really like this hotel, the staff is extremely helpful, polite and caring, The room was immaculate as were the halls and dining area. The breakfast is great (included in hotel price). Just knowing that I could grab a quick bite to eat in the morning before college orientation was reassuring. This is my second stay here and I will continue to stay each time I am in Savannah. On the downside I didn't expect the $* a day parking fee. Parking should be included in the price of the hotel stay.

Not What I expected

Quote: I received the bill less than 24hrs from the time I booked. Also the overnight parking was $15 not $8. With all that taken care of.The hotel was nice, the beds were not very comfortable nor were the pillows. I recomend not getting a street side room as you can hear every vehicle that passes by. The room was clean and tidy and the internet was OK. The continental breakfast was very good with alot of things to choose from. The staff was helpful and recomended several activities for myself and my family to do. For slightly more coin there are much better hotels.

Quote: We stayed a Friday through Sunday and loved this hotel. The hotel itself is beautiful, room was beautiful, beds were very comfortable, plenty of towels loved that we have a microwave and refrigerator in our room. The front desk staff, all shifts, was extremely helpful, friendly and professional. We were close enough to walk to everything, i.e, City Market, River Street, city squares, etc. We will definitely stay at this hotel again.

Consistent service

Quote: I like Hampton Inn and seek them out first in any US city I visit. I trust their consistency. This was my first trip to Savannah and since I didn't have much time to prepare, I went with who I knew. This particular Hampton Inn is perfectly located. I walked all over the historic district for the ten days I was there. I never felt unsafe, and everything I needed to see was within walking distance. The standard complimentary breakfast was delicious and plentiful. There was always coffee set up in the lobby, along with apples and bananas. Fresh cookies were served every afternoon and there was a cash bar for several hours in the evening. Although parking was across the street in a parking garage, everything was convenient. ... Just don't stay on the 1st floor

Quote: We stayed here over the Memorial Day holiday and the hotel itself was GREAT! Nice amenities, continental breakfast itself was great, staff was super helpful with making recommendations about places for dinner. My one and only complaint was that our room was on the first floor on the side where MLK Jr. Blvd is, and the first night there, we listened to what sounded like a road race ALL night long. The second night wasn't nearly as bad as my husband and I both slept - either from exhaustion or the road race was over...I'm not sure. Other than that, everything was great....hotel is a good half-mile from the river if you're looking for something closer or farther than that.

Great nights sleep!

Quote: 4+ pillows and a very comfy mattress made for a wonderful nights sleep. The charming southern hospitality at the front desk madeus feel like we were staying with old friends. Convenient location! 1+ blocks from the Visitors Center and Trolley Tours which we highly recommend. We were there for the Garden Clubs ""Hidden Gardens of Savannah"" tour in April, which we also recommend. Savannah has some of the most architecturally interesting neighborhoods we've seen. Add to that the delicious food at wonderful restaurants, and you'll see why we can't wait to visit again!
