Quote: It was like taking a trip back in time. When I checked in I told the lady at the front desk how excited i was about staying at the Tremont Plaza. Well it didn't take long for that excitement to turn to total disappointment. The furniture was the same as when i stayed there in 1999, the carpet was very old and spotted. there were dirty wash cloths hanging on the shower curtains and the dust was so thick on the table legs. after changing rooms twice I decided to go home. But Not before making the manager aware of my total disappointment. Well, I decided to return the next morning since I had paid in advance for the whole weekend. I guess the housekeeper thought it would be a nice change to actually clean a room. Well aren't I the lucky one... Read More

Nice stay near the waterfront

Quote: My husband and I stayed here over Memorial Day weekend 2009. What a nice big room! It was a short walk to the waterfront, but I would not necessarily want to walk that route in winter, but pleasant in the summer. Also near other attractions too. Bed was comfy, room wa nice and cool, shower worked well. I read complaints about the elevators, but we didn't think it was terrible. Yes, a short wait, but on vacation it didn't seem to be an issue at all. Overall, a very nice visit.

An overall excellent stay

Quote: The room was nice and clean and the service was friendly and cheerful. Our only problem was missing items from our breakfast room service. It was remedied within 15 minutes. We were attending a convention at the Convention Center. While the hotel is relatively close, returning to the hotel is all up hill.

Would stay again

Quote: Staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable. Liked the location...about a 3 block walk to the White House. One block to the Metro. We enjoyed the restaurant...the food was very good. Would stay again.

Poor value and high parking

Quote: Because of having surgery early in morning we stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. Johns Hokins booked the room for us because of specials. Parking was quoted at 15.00 per day. After stay and were billed 50.00 parking for 2 days and after speaking later with manager nothing was resolved. Said that was for self parking and no one ever discussed that with us. 25.00 a day to park at this inadequate hotel was a joke. Rooms were also dingy and dark. Hotel is very old and dirty and in need of remodeling....it surely has been awhile if at all. Just a very bad experience and I would never stay here again or reccomend this hotel to anyone Shuttle was aso not available when we needed it.

free transportation

Quote: From their web page :Hotel amenities include a 24-hour fitness center, free transportation to area attractions, saunas, locker rooms, seasonal outdoor pool, valet parking, and tour and ticket assistance. Dining options include an on-site restaurant, and a deli.\n\nI asked fore transportation to the convention center 5 days in a row and not once was the shuttle available. I finally shamed the driver on the last day to give me a ride to the convention center. I ended up either catching a taxi everyday or walking between the hotel and the convention center - @ 1 mile away.

Visit to the Inner Harbor

Quote: The reason for our 1 night stay in Baltimore was to take a visit to the Inner Harbor, and the Aquarium. This hotel provided an affordable, comfortable, clean room. Attached to the lobby of the hotel is a store that had a wide variety of groceries and hot food to choose from. The walk to the Inner Harbor, and Aquarium was a straight 6 blocks. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Baltimore.
