Las Vegas Hilton

It has been a few years since I first stayed at the Las Vegas Hilton. They have since remodeled there rooms and the Hotel has changed ownership 3 different times. I have to say that the change in owner ship was not a good thing for the Hilton.
No longer a Hilton property but still known and will probably always be known as the Las Vegas Hilton. The Hilton has housed many great Celebrities. Some of the celebs include Elvis whom made the Hilton his home away from home. The Rat pack was known to perform at the Hiltons Lounges. The history of the Hilton is what used to make it such a great place to stay.
They used to offer great attractions such as Star Trek the experience and Quark's Bar. You could also on several occasions be known to run into some one famous after a show that they had performed. I was lucky enough to meet 2 members of the group The Commadors after one of their shows walking through the Casino. They signed my show tickets and thanked me for being a fan. Such a great moment.
Now however the Las Vegas Hilton has changed. They have done away with the Star Trek the experience, Barry has given them the boot and they have gone for a much more risque theme. Not what I wanted to see from the Hilton. This is a change in the Hilton that has not been for the best. Its a sad time when a place you love no longer can live up to your expectations or demands.
The Hilton trying to hang on to the past that has seen better days has forgotten about the people that helped to make them what they are. They no longer have what I call a niche and are falling on there faces fast.
The rooms have started to degrade and the service is non existente. So if you want to be ignored and never get waited on then the Hilton is for you.
Horrible Experience

I do not recommend staying at this hotel. I was very disappointed. The hotel room was okay however, the walls are very thin as me and my cousin discovered later that night. It sounded like the people next to us were in our room. The pool was very crowded as they allow outside people to use the pool. The pool water was murky so we decided not to go in. We stayed at the end of the North tower and had to deal with a scary elevator that opens and closes 3 times before it will move to the next floor. My cousin and I and another guest were waiting for the elevator at the bottom floor and before we could get into the elevator the doors closed and began its climb up. We had to go to the center of the hotel, far from our room to catch the main elevator. The straw that broke the camels back was when a "maid" opened our room at 8:00 am while my cousin and I were sleeping. We called down to customer services and they said it was probably a maid doing an inventory check. I have never stayed a hotel where maids do an inventory check at 8:00 in the morning. Definitely not pleased with Hilton, I will never stay at the Hilton Las Vegas again!

This hotel exceeded our expectations and was a great value for the money. I would definitely recommend it to family and friends and would stay there again. It is under new ownership. I stayed there under the old ownership, and it was horrible. This is a huge and great improvement.

We stayed at the Hilton June 18th thru the 21st. Check in was fast, we were the only ones there on that Thursday evening. Our room was clean. The bathroom was very clean, except for the tub, it was very dingy. The hotel is far from the strip, so we ended up paying about $ in taxis for that weekend. I would recommend that you stay at a hotel on the strip because the money you think you will save in hotel costs, you will end up paying for in taxi fees. We did not use the monorail, but it is right outstide of the hotel. The casinos and bars were empty and most of the restaurants are closed the majority of the day. Food there is nothing to rave about. I highly recommend the buffet at the Wynn, and Pampas, a brazilian grille. You should also see "PEEPSHOW". Great show for both male and female. We purchased our tickets from a half off ticket booth at the great shopping mall. It is located on the first floor, right next to Starbucks, and the PUMA store. You can get discounted show tickets, and meals. Good deals, almost everything is 50% off.

Very poor internet. Not very helpful front desk staff either.
