We booked the room on the 5th for 2 nights from Los Angeles at 11am. Checked in same day at 6pm, we checked in room 4222 and the room was very worn and old looking, spots on the carpet, the bed cowers was so old and worn out, it was disgusting like in a cheap motel. The remote control to the TV was not working. When I complained to the front desk about the room they let me know what is our options. Change the room in the same category, upgrade for +$80 usd more a night for a higher class or walk away loosing the money because the 48 hour non refundable cancelation policy. So it is not possible to cancel if you do not like the room, you stuck with it. ( The front desk was not really friendly happy about the complain ). So we went to the other room to see, which looked the same except it was not over worn, it was nicer, so we took the room 8322. BUT IT WAS A BIG MISTAKE!!!!!! The bed cover had blood inside and thorn. Next to the toilets it was faeces on the wall. We took a shower it was a ( BATH ), the drain not working (I called the front desk the plumber never come), the neighbor took an early shower the pipe noise wake us up at 6am, plus the window is very dirty, what is not a big problem . Oh yeh almost forgot the cleaning personnel changed our towels when we open it, it was so dirty they probably bring it from another room it was some brown substance on it. We stayed here 1st time. The 55/ night it doesn't mean we want to live in a (dump).

Frustrated Traveler

I found a deal on ONLINE TRAVEL WEBSITE for rooms in Vegas that were inexpensive for a vacation. I booked the rooms and made a family vacation out of it (5 nights worth). After 13 hours of driving, we got to the Monte Carlo, and went up to our room. First of all is was a smoking room and I am allergic to smoke, Secondly, the furniture in the room was beat up, the bed spreads looked like they had seen better days, and honestly it just felt dirty. So, down we went to tell them the room was unsatisfactory, and they told us we could upgrade to a suite for another *. Needless to say we spent the extra money because the desk clerk told us the rooms are all the same and that was what we booked, the suite we ended up in was fine and clean and smelled fresh, but there went my cheap deal for the rooms. I honestly would go somewhere else, if you are looking for a nice, clean room. You will be disappointed if you stay here. You really get what you pay for at the Monte Carlo!

the bedspreads were dirty. went to front desk and made them aware that the bedspreads were dirty they put me in another room and the bedspreads were still dirty. hotel was nice but could not get over the fact that the bedspread were dirty. I said below that i would stay there again but i would not tolerate dirty bedspreads again. not hard to replace a bedspread.

Very Nice Stay

For my latest trip to Vegas, I used a casino promotion mailed to me in April for a stay at The Monte Carlo is June (June 9-13). I was very happy to have a great daily rate Tuesday to Thursday, plus they comped me Friday night! Then I was extended a $25 comp to be used at any restaurant in the hotel (I used it at the nice buffet). I was also given a $25 casino chip to be played anywhere for even money bets. (I used it at black jack--won, then gave it back--you know how it goes!) As for the hotel, I was happy with everything. I asked to be put on the side away from the construction project next door, and was. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable, and the maid service was right on, early so that I could get back to the room to change for the pool after breakfast. Casino was nice, dealers friendly, games decent and modern. The casino floor is the easiest to navigate in all of Vegas. Location is super, close to many other attractions/casinos. If I had to do one thing differently, I would request ahead of time a room without an adjoining room, because the door between lets a lot of noise in. Not much of a problem, though. Loved Monte. Will definitely stay again!
