Quote: I selected this hotel because it was rated at 3.5 stars and the price per night was $*. At check in I was notified that there was a $28.00 per day parking fee! I was staying for two days. I could not believe it. I had no choice but to stay because I didn't want to cancel my reservation, be out the money and have no where to stay. We went to our room and found a bottle of water waiting for us. It was nice until we noticed that the price tag on it said $6.00! It was FIJI water! The staff at this hotel were not rude they had an "I could care less attitude." I beseech you please do not stay at this hotel. I booked through a travel website which advertised this hotel as having a swimming pool and it didn't. There was no... Read More
Quote: Having been a long time Starwood Rewards member we have stayed at many fine Sheraton, Westin, and W Hotels . The Sheraton Los Angeles Downtown did not come close to meeting our expectations. We expect a Sheraton Hotel to have a very helpful and cooperative staff, a very comfortable bed, updated furnishings, soft and fluffy towels, bath robes, and a TV that works. The Sheraton Los Angeles Downtown provided none of that. The front counter staff was rude and uncooperative, the bed was not very comfortable, and the towels were thin and rough as sand paper. The TV was ancient and the remote did not work. Overall this was a very bad experience. We will not be staying here again.
Quote: Initially when I checked in, the one person behind the front desk was not very friendly. Almost very cold like and not welcoming at all. But I have to say, that was the only negative thing I had to say about the Sheraton and their staff. Rooms were clean, well stocked, staff was friendly and accommodating. I rented two rooms and although they were not able to join the rooms together, they had them right across from each other, which was very convenient. The lobby was clean and well kept. Very inviting. Location was also very convenient. Close to neighboring areas, and connected to the shopping center, which had easy access to the atm machine as well. We used the valet parking several time a day, and the staff was very... Read More
Quote: It was a very nice hotel w/ great service. The bar and cafe were pretty pricey but very nice. The only bad thing was they charge for their WiFi service...who does that anymore?
Quote: Why did they have to put us next to the elevator? I did not sleep for 3 nights because of the constant noise. Also, I brough my own shampoo, and the maids took it. Plus, they did not have gratus WiFi which seems to be free everywhere else. Next time I book with a online company I will not negotiate a hotel stay. I do better on my own, and can have a raport with the staff that way. They seem to resent guests who use your service.
Quote: Room was clean, and beds were comfortable. Felt safe in area of hotel. Nice to have lots of pillows. Did get room service and the pizzas were very good, but of course pricey. Paying for Internet service was disappointing considering this day and age with Wi-Fi everywhere. Liked that it was close to public Metro Rail transportation, Macy's plaza is nice, but not open very late. Smoothy shop was only place to get food late. Hertz rental was very nice providing upgraded car for same price, and convenient. Hotel needs to upgrade it's carpets on the floors.
Quote: This hotel is a reconstruction from an old shell with all of the irritants; i.e. bad air conditioning, small rooms, noisy elevators and lousy food with a pedestrian wine selection. The service trys to compensate.
Quote: I enjoyed my stay very much at this hotel. I found the rooms to be very clean and the staff was helpful as well. The only thing was if your there on vacation and you don't have a car its pretty far from most of the places to sightsee in LA. However, there is a subway accross the street for like a dollar fifty but I would recommend riding it at night it didn't seem that safe. Other than that I would def reccomend the hotel!
Quote: The hotel is great! Excellent service, clean rooms with soft beds. I brought my two schnauzers and the only close place to walk them was across the street at a rat infested garden area! They also charged $35 per pet, FYI.\n\nOtherwise a great place to stay!
Quote: We had asked for two rooms non smoking and King beds. These were confirmed by Travelocity before we left on our trip. When we checked in at about 6.30 p.m the reception desk said there were no non smoking beds available. We insisted that it was confirmed by Travelocity to which they replied that because we went through a third party to book the rooms that is the reason they could not guarantee it,we should have reserved directly through their reservation site. After much haggling and telling them that we are allergic to smoke and we have asthma they gave us one room. The other room was still going to be in smoking area. They were courteous but gave us the impression that we going to be treated like second class citizens just because we... Read More
