Great Experience

i stayed at Royal Solaris for 5 nights in may 2010. For the price you cannot beat this place. This was my fifth time to Cancun and the service at Royal Solaris far exceeded my previous experiences. The staff was always very helpful and attentive. The hotel was clean all the time and our room was ready well before noon everyday. The staff works exceptionally hard for very little and this should be rewarded, so leave them a tip. If you eat at the a la carte restaurants (Cafe Solaris, Bogavante, Marco Polo, Veneto) you will have a much better dining experience. The buffets were just okay, but after all this is Mexico, so if you go in with reasonable expectations you will not be horribly disappointed. The pool staff was entertaining but not overbearing. The swim-up bar was great and we never had to wait long for drinks. In all, it was a great experience and I would not hesitate to recommend Royal Solaris to friends and family.
Perfect Relaxing Vacation

This is the 7th time in Cancun and the 7th different resort we have stayed for 7 days. This is the 1st time I could say that I will be revisiting this resort on our next vacation. We paid for the upgrade to a Jacuzzi room and it was well worth it. The resort was HUGE and there is plenty of options if your looking to relax or take part of the pool activity. WIFI is FREE so bring your laptop if you plan to stayed plugged in the real world. I recommend just stay unplugged and soak in all the amenities. The restaurants are GREAT dough there is a waiting time just like home unless you go to the buffet which was also very nice and quick service. I have been to the GR Solaris 2 yrs ago which is there newer resort but this one was much better due all the options. The only negative are the beaches which has been replaced with sand from deep sea due to the hurricane 5yrs ago. I tried playing beach volley ball and walked away with knee abrasions and a sprained toe. I did not swim in the ocean due to all the rock and sea shells but was able to get a beautiful sea shell for my wife. Plenty of FREE soverniers at the beach.

Traveled with my wife and my parents. Rooms, restaurants, and bars were good. We enjoyed dining at the a-la-carte restaurants in the evening. The buffets were great as well. Lots of variety. We enjoyed the different desserts. The pool is great and there are lots of activities to do. The Hotel Entertainment Staff was excellent! The evening shows in the theater are a must see!
The only disappointment was that each time we passed by the lobby, the customer service staff would start talking to us into visiting their other hotel to learn about getting a membership with their hotels. We felt a lot of pressure the first couple of days. That was getting very annoying, while we were on vacation.
Overall, the hotel was nice for the price we paid.

This hotel is a bit more run down than they show you. It is 20 years old and it shows. The food is good but not great. I will defintely try a different hotel when we go down again. There is nothing to do when the weather is bad. And Mexico is not always beautiful so you do have to think about that. DO NOT ASK FOR UPGRADES, unless you feel like being pressured (high pressured) into buying a time share.

I went with my mom and a friend and her mom we had a GREAT time. This hotel is great it offers tons of activities and deals for the night with restrants involved. The food is great they change the theme everynight so you get to try a TON of different food. staff is very friendly and helpful my friend needed a little help getting back to the room and the staff was very helpful at getting her back to her room :#41 and if you want advice on what to do they have people there to help. Rooms are very nice. House keeping is great everyday they made a new towel animal and left beautiful roses on our table. All around GREAT place! Would definetly stay again!!!
