This hotel is in a perfect location only a few minutes walk from the Coliseum. What's most amazing, is they have parking. Anyone who has been to that portion of Rome can tell you parking is a premium. The rooms are nice and if you pay a little more, they can give you a view of the Coliseum, but you need to book these ahead of time. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They also serve a nice dinner each night but you need to sign up for this ahead of time. The dinner can be a little pricey when compared to what you can get at local restaurants, but is a little higher quality. Overall, if you want a nice room in a great location with parking for a reasonable price, this place is for you.

Excellent location, just a few blocks east of the Colloseum. Attentive service and very reasonable prices. Plain, simple rooms. Met our needs very nicely. Rooms come with breakfast. A very nice dinner served every evening, reservations required. The nightly dinner is a little expensive, but typically for Italy, includes a lot of wine.

The Hotel Lancelot (E-mail: info@lancelothotel.com) is ideally located just a few minutes' walk from the Colosseum. In fact, their slogan is "a peaceful haven at a stone's throw from the Colosseum." Our room was large, with a balcony and remote-controlled air conditioning. The hotel does have some limited parking in the courtyard. The Hotel Lancelot is internationally known for its Round Tables, where exquisite meals are served at large round tables shared with guests from around the world. A fresh, delicious breakfast (included) is served at these tables each morning, and dinner is served each evening (for an additional price) at 7:30pm. It was to our delight that we shared a table with an adventurous young couple from Ireland and a fascinating Frenchman who'd traveled the world. A treasured experience.
