About Me: Having spent several years travelling around the world, living in far reaching destinations and sampling the differing cultures and lifestyles, I am now planning my next major travel adventure, where I hope to travel around the world without flying. This trip will take in at least five of the world’s seven continents and will start in Hinckley, United Kingdom.
From Hinckley the first leg of the journey will see a one month train journey (including the Trans-Mongolian railway) all the way to Beijing, China. Once in China I will travel to the city of Benxi, near the North Korean border to take up a one year teaching contract. After this, further public transport will be used to travel throughout the rest of Asia, before hopefully using cargo ships to travel to Australia, New Zealand and South America, finally returning back to England several years down the line.
As this adventure has the potential to be expensive, jobs will be taken along the way to fund the next leg of the journey. It's hoped these jobs will also allow a deeper understanding in to the cultures of the host country in which I will be living.
