Hawaii's Kilauea caldera, pictured right, is getting more available to the public; after being closed for two years, the
Volcano House is now available for travelers in
Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. The hotel is listed on the National Register of Historical Places and has had famous vacationers in the past. The hotel also lets guest stay in nearby cabins for those that want more of an "outdoorsy" experience. The actual hotel is planning to allow overnight guests within the year after renovations are complete.
Ikea is known for its cheap, contemporary furniture, and now the Swedish Brand is venturing into the hotel business. The first 'budget hotel' plans to open in Europe and establish itself in countries where it already has a following. However, the hotels will not carry the Ikea name and will be run by outside hoteliers. Ikea has already opened an Ikea hostel in
Norway and airport lounge in
Paris.

Four Season Resort Nevis and their private-public sponsorship with the Sea Turtle Conservatory has tagged and released their first hawkbill turtle, Pinney. The resort has donated countless dollars to help the preservation of this endangered species, one considered a large part of culture on the Caribbean island.
