One of the more unlikely vacation routes we can think of is to go from Iraq to Arkansas to Singapore and back, but that’s exactly the round-the-world trip Eric from Aiea took on his quest to celebrate “St. Paddy’s at the far corner of the former British Empire.”
The trailblazer shares his trip in two well-rounded journals, An Around the World Trip from Baghdad to Fort Smith and Ringing in St. Patrick’s Day in Singapore. Both are all over the map, in the best sense: he reviews spots of Italy and Taiwan in Arkansas, and outposts of England and Ireland in Singapore.
If there’s one thing we know about Eric from Aiea by now, nearly three years after he became an IgoUgo member, it’s that he has friends all over the world and is an insider wherever he goes—much to our benefit, of course. It also doesn’t hurt that (as you might guess) his real insider status is at home in Hawaii, a place we’re always eager to hear more about.
