Have a Very English Christmas in Kent

With what may be the only journal in which Queen Victoria, Winston Churchill, and Santa Claus meet, Joy S shares her Christmas 2008 getaway to Kent, England. It’s quickly become one of our favorite holiday-themed trip journals, just as Kent’s become a quintessential holiday destination.

The journal 4 Days in Kent will have you seeing sugar plums, elves, reindeer, and the Clauses (literally) as Joy S and family venture to the fascinating, festive Lapland UK. You’ll also have visions of the English countryside dotted with distinctive oast houses; the royal town of Tunbridge Wells, where a young Queen Victoria holidayed; Leeds Castle, dog-collar museum and all; and Chartwell, final home to Sir Winston Churchill.

Kent holds so many treasures for visitors, in fact, that Joy S “actually had to be very selective due to the short duration of [her] stay.” We’re thrilled she elected to do as much sightseeing as she did (in the cold! with a 5-year-old!), and that she selected to share this fantastic holiday trip with us.
