Seven Mile Beach is Negril’s claim to fame - a four-mile stretch of powdery white sand and turquoise blue waters. Most of Negril’s best resorts are situated on Seven Mile Beach, as are its many restaurants, bars and open-air cafes. Seven Mile can get packed with sunbathers and vendors hawking beer, water and ganja, so many regulars escape to Long Bay Beach Park at the northern end of Negril Beach, or the isolated Bloody Bay Beach, just beyond Long Bay.

Ocean-centric recreation abounds here, from the many glass-bottom boat snorkel tours to the plentiful fishing charters which help visitors land aquatic monsters like blue marlin, mahi mahi, wahoo and tuna. Family-friendly recreation is widely available as well, including the popular Kool Runnings Water Park, packed with slides and rides like the Jamaica Bobsled, the Green Grotto and the Sly Mongoose.
