The Bellagio is one of the only hotels on the Las Vegas Strip to receive the AAA Five-Diamond Award and once you enter this hotel you’ll know why. Staying at the Bellagio made me feel like I was royalty. From the moment that I walked into the building I was surrounded by beauty: the ceiling with its hanging Chihuly art glass masterpiece, the entry with its large marble tiles and custom made area rug, the conservatory with its fresh flowers and trees right off of the entry and of course entering my room was an awe inspiring experience too. The rooms are furnished with stunning carpet, granites, marbles and electric curtains. The bed was draped with beautiful fabrics from the ceiling and pulled back to the wall. The linens and comforter were very chic and all of the décor within the room was beautiful. The bathroom had a shower, a Jacuzzi tub and a beautiful vanity covered with granite slab. I definitely felt like this could be home.

This hotel itself has enough restaurants, shopping and attractions to keep you thoroughly entertained throughout your stay. It’s nice knowing that when you stay at the Bellagio you don’t have to travel far to see most of what is on your list.

The only draw back to staying at a large hotel in Vegas is the walk you have to your room. Unfortunately it’s not any easier at the Bellagio. The elevators to the rooms are fairly close to the pool area and the buffet but depending on where your room is located it could be a fairly long walk down the never ending hallways.

The best part of the Bellagio was that the employees really made everything seem so exceptional. They were very courteous and friendly to us even after having to deal with thousands of people a day. We had one instance on our trip where my boyfriend wasn’t allowed to sign for anything to be charged to our room and when we went to the front desk and told the employee our situation we were given a VIP pass and then the employee profusely apologized to us for being inconvenienced.

To put it briefly, the Bellagio is one of the nicest hotels in the world and staying here was an absolute dream come true even if I did have to walk a mile to get to my room.

The Bellagio is such an incredible hotel, it is one of the only two hotels on the strip with a five-diamond rating from AAA. From the moment that I arrived I knew this had to be the nicest hotel that I had ever stayed at. When I stepped out of the taxi I knew that I was going to feel like royalty for a week. Out in front of the hotel there is a huge lake area that plays a water and light show choreographed to music. The lobby area has a one of a kind Dale Chihuly glass flower sculpture on the ceiling, featuring 2,000 individually blown glass pieces and it covers 2,000feet² of the ceiling. Off of the lobby they have a conservatory that has amazing flower and plant displays all year round. It takes a staff of 115 to maintain the flowers and plants in the conservatory area.

This may be a fairly expensive hotel, but I definitely felt like I got everything that I paid for. The rooms at the Bellagio are very clean and spacious. The bathroom has marble slab in the shower, granite slab on the counter-tops and marble on the floors. In the standard room the bathroom has a soaking tub and a shower. Inside the room there is a giant armoire to hang clothes in, a safe to use free of charge and a decent sized television. The bed was covered with a gorgeous cream colored comforter, there was fabric draped from the ceiling outlining the top portion of the bed.

The pools at the Bellagio are also incredible. There are six different pools and four jet spas to choose from. Two pools have fountains that water pours out from the middle of the pool and the others are larger and designed for actual swimming. The decor by the pools was of the old world style with large plant urns and architecture that you would expect to see in Italy. Of course they had waitresses to serve us drinks or food at our beckoned call by raising a flag on the back of the chair at the pool deck.

The restaurants within the hotel are excellent. The shopping at Via Bellagio is a very upscale, the entrance to these shops is under a beautiful ornate canopy of etched glass and green wrought iron. Some of the stores at Via Bellagio include: Chanel, Tiffany & Co. and Hermes. Although I never saw anyone buying anything at these stores, there were interesting things to see in addition to the price tags.

The Bellagio is a remarkable hotel that I will definitely stay at again. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who loves architecture, romance or just a peaceful vacation.
