Great location

Quote: Very pleased with this hotel. Location was great to down town area and walking distance to Pier 39 and other attractions.

Very Satisfactory

Quote: The room was a bit small, but well-appointed and clean. Great location -- we were able to walk to North Beach, AT&T; Park, downtown, Union Square, and the cable car lines. There was a guest request closet down the hall with blankets, irons, ironing board and free filtered water with refillable bottles -- a very welcome amenity in San Francisco. Hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. The hotel has no parking of its own, but the Embarcadero Center was just around the corner; we paid $32 per day with no in-and-out. We would definitely stay again!

Wonderful Hotel

Quote: Club Quarters San Fran. is a great place to stay. The staff is amazingly helpful. They gave us directions, recommendations and even a spare cell phone cord. The free water bottles are great. The restaurant in the hotel has a great staff and great food. The rooms are very clean and cozy. They are suited for the business traveler as the rooms are on the smaller size, like that of a European hotel. I stayed at this hotel for 4 days and they knew my name by the time I left. Excellent stay, excellent hotel, highly recommend it.

Way Overrated

Quote: The rooms are tiny, but that's okay with me. However, the walls are PAPER thin -- you can hear everything in the rooms next to yours. The HVAC systems is ok, but the rooms are stuffy and the window (at least in my room) didn't open. The TV is a 19 inch set from the 1970s. Would not choose this again, unless it was REALLY cheap.

Nice Rooms in the financial district

Quote: Nice rooms, but they are very small. Location is out of the way unless you are going to the financial district, which could be an issue if you are not a walker or are nervous in the big city. The hotel has many nice features, such as the filtered bottled water that you fill yourself for free. Starbucks next door. 4-5 blocks to Muni and Bart, which can be lonely and quiet late at night or on the weekend. Not much to do in the neighborhood other than the Embarcadero Ferry building on the weekends but the farmers market there is fun. A bit expensive but it does have A/C which is lacking in many old Union Square hotels.

Overall Experience

Quote: As a single woman traveling with my teenage daughter, I felt very secure in this hotel. I liked the location because everything is at your fingertips. It served it's purpose very well for our trip, walking distance to Pier 1, the train, Union Square, and of course California St! We were able to see much more of San Fran because of the great location and ease in getting to and from the hotel.

Always a good bet

Quote: We have stayed in theh Club Quarters at Wacker in Chicago and have been so well served, so we were glad to find one for a short stay in San Francisco. The management was sooo helpful in giving us restaurant advice and directions. This is always just what we need since we don't require a deluxe hotel, choosing to spend our time seeing the sights. Try it!

More than your money's worth!

Quote: In a pricey city, the CQ is a great find! We paid about half of what most of the other popular chains were offering, but didn't have to comporomise quality. The hotel is geared more towards business people, but my husband and I felt at home even though we were just on vacation. The room we got was very clean and everything seemed new and upgraded. Not really a big room, but just enough as we spent most of our time exploring the city. We liked the FREE bottled water on each floor as most hotels offer only ice and tap for free. The gym was basic, but also nicely kept up. The staff was also generally friendly and helpful. Free internet access and printing in the lobby. I plan to look for a CQ at all of my future vacation spots. When I read... Read More

Misleading

Quote: Hotel and staff very nice, they forgot to mention, though, that the rate listed in Travel agency is for a shoebox room. The room is so narrow that the TV is wall mounted on opposite end of where the bed is, by the bathroom. The $30 per day for parking was also disappointing.
