Quote: The hotel was beautiful and the staff was courteous and friendly. We enjoyed eating in the Northstar cafe for breakfast and the bar and grill for lunch. The service was great, the room was clean. We liked the fact that it is a non-smoking hotel and the access to nearby shopping through the skyways was appreciated in the zero-degree weather.
Quote: Every thing was I expected, nice and clean, people were help full. I rentted a movie by mistake (i only saw it one second) and then, cancelled it right a way. People at the front desk didn't charge me for the movie. They were very understanding and helpful. But, they (the travel website and hotel) did not let me cancel my hotel booking even 7 days before my staying. It would have been nice if I had an option of cancelling my hotel booking at least 3-4 days before my staying. I was told that I could not cancel my hotel booking. if I did it they would charge me total amount which was $* for a day on New Years Eve. Otherwise everything a good.
Quote: The Crowne Plaza Northstar was a true delight. The front desk was great in helping me find my way around the complex skyways of downtown Minneapolis, even printed me a movie schedule for the day I wanted to go. They also had a great one page guide to local restaurants, inclduing how many blocks away for each one. The entire staff was not only courteous, but friendly and welcoming.
Quote: This is an older hotel but the facility was clean, the service good and location excellent. The light rail train makes travel around Minneapolis very easy. The exercise room needs a good cleaning and updating. I was given a corner room with a great view without having to ask. I was pleased with the stay.
Quote: The Crowne Plaza was great. The hotel personnel was friendly and helpful. The bed was fantastic...anyone could catch a good night's sleep on that bed. The only problem was when it was time to find some food. It was hard to find waiters in the restaurants or even to tell if the restaurants were even open at about 8 pm. Other than that though it was fantastic!
Quote: I stayed at this hotel on business travel, and found it to be very comfortable. The luxury bed linens were awesome with extra pillows. I usually wake up several times during the night, but I had a great night's sleep on these beds. Definitely at the top of my list the next time I return to the Twin Cities.
Quote: I stayed here on a business trip. They overbooked, so put me in a smoking room, but did not mention it. When I arrived at my room, I called the front desk and explained that smoke gave me a headache, etc. They were not even apolegetic, but only offered some Febreeze (which didn't cut it) and told me that they were overbooked and that my travel agent booked it as a flow-through room so they couldn't do anything about it. Further, the room was dirty, the carpet thin, stained and old. The chair was also stained and the wallpaper peeling. It is run-down. I would not stay here again."

Quote: Stayed here for a week in January 2007. Rooms are run down, tile is peeling in bathroom. No parking during day in adjacent lot, only after business hours. Parking spots are miniscule in attached ramp. This hotel is at the edge of the good parts of downtown. Restaurants immediately adjacent include fast food, Arby's, Taco Bell. Have to walk several blocks to get to better restaurants and shops. connected by skyway, but parts are closed on weekends. Downtown is empty and dead on weekends.
Quote: I've rated this hotel other times, and it's still the best. I get to the 'Cities on business several times a year and always stay here (if they have room that is). Staff is attentive and helpful, close to my office and various eateries and night spots.
