A Great Location at Reasonable Prices

Two key things you need to know about Maui Vista Resort

1. When reading comments about a condo, bear in mind that every condo is owned by someone different, (and rented via owner or an agent) so the cleanliness, facilities, state of repair etc are down to that exact condo owner. Bear this in mind when reading reviews and choosing where to stay, don't be put off the condo complex because of a bad review on condo 1234 if you are looking to stay in 2345 !

2. The condo grounds are of course shared and the same for all condos, and we found them very pleasant, well landscaped, palms, lawns, BBQ and tennis areas. There is a constant security patrol, the general area (certainly blocks 2 and 3 anyway as they are away from the road) is very quiet at night, the grounds are very well kept with manicured lawns, lots of lush palms and shrubs and plants, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Maui Vista as a good place to stay.

There are several tennis courts, each block has its own pool and double gas bbq area. When we were there, we were often the only people using the pools, possibly they could get crowded in term time as they are medium sized, but if you find one pool crowded and another one empty you can go and use that. The pools are locked so only residents of the general complex can use them, our keys fitted all pools.

The location is good, pretty much at the start of the beach areas of Kihei, just a few minutes walk from Charley Young Beach and a longer walk (or more realistically a short drive) to the Kamaole 1,2&3 beaches. Its about 10-15 minutes by car to the beaches and shops at Wailea, 45 minutes to Lahaina and a further 15 from there to Kaanapali.
10 minutes walk away or a short drive, is a supermarket, a small complex with several cafes and pubs (we all liked Lulus for lunch) and multiple souvenir stalls.

Our group stayed in condos 2107, 3104 and 3111, and I would recommend any of those as a good condo to rent, not just because of the facilities but because of the ease of dealing with the owners and agents.
We paid very similar prices for all, between 85 and 95 dollars each per condo per night (all were one bedroom condos). Some of them had sofa beds in the living room, making them a very suitable and cheap way to stay in hawaii for a family with saller kids who coudl share a sofa bed.
All our condos came with the facilities you would expect including cooker, fridge, washer dryers, plus a variety of beach equipment left behind by previous occupants such as chairs, boogie boards, beachmats, mask and snorkels etc (Not all the same in each condo of course). So don't buy any of this type of stuff before you arrive as you'll never know whats there, we left some additional equipment as well.

So, in summary, I think this is an excellent condo complex, well situated, but search out reviews on specific condos you will stay in before deciding which one.

Maui Vista

After 3 months of living at the hostel, I wanted to spend my last few days with a bit more luxury. The Maui Vista was perfect. I didn''t have a lot of money to spend and it was everything I wanted.

The condo complex is located right across from Kamaole Beach Park I. It has six tennis courts and three swimming pools and when I was there, often we were the only ones at the pools.

The unit itself had a nice size balcony, a living room, bedroom, kitchen, washer and dryer and an upstairs loft. There was a dining area with a table and 4 chairs off of the kitchen and the living room had a TV, couch and coffee table. It was extremely clean and well taken care of.

I would not hesitate to go back!
