Whether you chalk it up to a full moon or spring fever, the latest travel news has a definite slant toward the weird. While the cab fare from Queens to Manhattan is enough to make some people balk, one couple shelled out $3,000 to hail a taxi from Queens to Sedona, Arizona. And it seems they did this on purpose, rather than with an errant mouse click. Almost as unbelievable are the UFO sightings occurring along a stretch of Nevada road—so many that it is now named Extraterrestrial Highway. Further west, another out-of-this-world species, the celebrity, has infiltrated a decidedly earthly industry. Luckily, there is also a bit of weird-but-good news: low-cost UK airline Ryanair says it intends to launch transatlantic flights for as low as $12. Hopefully that price includes the pilot.
