Covering topics as varied as Northern California’s wine trails, Tanzania’s lesser-known safari parks, and Panama’s most affordable hotels, the inspiring debuts of five new IgoUgo members already have us wondering where the travelers will go next.
Virginia duo lwrbva shared their first journal after a California trip that included good food, good hikes, and a great route beyond Napa and Sonoma to the “hidden wineries” of Dry Creek Valley. There they found that the wine “had more body and structure than many of the other wines in Sonoma County have after aging!” We could say the same about lwrbva’s journal.
TravelingD has been sharing a steady stream of reviews and photos from Tanzania, dispensing candid advice like this: “Arusha National Park is too often missed by tourists eager to get out of Arusha and on to some of the bigger-name parks like Lake Manyara, Tarangire, Ngorongoro and the Serengeti. We can compare Arusha NP to three of the others just mentioned and are glad we did not miss it.” The traveler even got to canoe in Arusha, though a downpour “cut short the plan to search out the hippos.” But maybe that’s a good thing.
Panama City was TravelingButler’s choice for his first journal (still in progress), though he has reviews from Guyana too. He also has an incredible profile photo and entertaining answers to the profile questions we ask every member (though we can’t say we agree with his assessment of Philadelphia).
The enthusiasm of NewYorkStateOfMind is infectious. Granted, she’s describing the moment she got engaged, which happened to occur at the pinnacle of her dream trip. Still, we have a feeling she’s going to share all her travels with equal excitement.
Princess00 is a landlocked beach queen and sushi lover—except when she vacations at the ocean, which we hope occurs as frequently as it seems. She first joined IgoUgo and began writing in December, but her reviews really took off in April with fish tales and more from Maui. We can’t wait to see where she sets her sandals next, and we'll keep an eye on all of these travelers' future trips.
