Been known to cross towns or borders for an outstanding meal? See how your appetite measures up to those of the hungry IgoUgo travelers who have gone even further: one of them wagers he’s eaten at 90% of a country’s restaurants; one is more than halfway finished going around the world in 80 meals; one attracted a cheering crowd during a feat of eating in Italy; and one could be considered a restaurant expert in several places, including at an ostrich festival.

The country is Palau, and the man is LenR. He guesses he’s eaten at 90% of the islands’ restaurants, and he’s reviewing them in two new journals, My Favorite Palau Restaurants and Eating in Palau. The frequent traveler also knows a couple of good places in Fez, Morocco, which he’s sharing in Fez Eating and Sleeping.

It’s been 24 meals and we’re still captivated by Liam Hetherington’s quirky quest to go “around the world” via 80 international eateries in his hometown of Manchester, England. With Around the World in 80 Meals! (part 3), Liam checks off Scotland, Pakistan, Spain, and the Ivory Coast. Where else will you see that itinerary?

It was new member sum0488 who gave a medal-worthy performance at a Milan restaurant in front of an enthusiastic crowd. You’ll want to savor the entire story, but the ending involves this: “When I took the last bite, everyone cheered and gave me high fives like I had just finished a marathon.”

Phoenix traveler wanderer 2005 has a long (and growing!) list of reviews from around the world, many of which involve searches for the best local food. Our current favorites are found at Arizona’s Chandler Ostrich Festival; what goes better with ostrich races than deep-fried PB&Js?

We’d love to hear about your most recent meals, so don’t forget to share your restaurant reviews!
