Iconic smiles in place, happy-go-lucky road-trippers TwoIdiots recently landed in China, where they got involved in a covert operation on the Li River, relaxed while rafting down the Yulong River, and explored the architecture of hidden gem Pingyao.
Witnessing a “life more or less unchanged in 100 years” in Pingyao clearly juxtaposed their stay in Beijing, where the pair had fun trying the capital’s night markets and “exotic eats” like “deep-fried scorpion, grasshopper, silkworms, starfish, and caterpillar kebabs.” (And yes, there are photos.)
Even in bustling Beijing, TwoIdiots succeeded in finding fantastic off-the-beaten-path activities (including a “little-known” but “wonderful” museum at Peking University). So if you’re heading to China, you might think about following in their fuzzy footsteps--they always seem to lead somewhere magical.
