Inspired by Frangliz’s review “Having Sum Dim” and her wanderings through Winchester, England and wanting “something a little different," we went in
search of other IgoUgo travelers who have shared their Dim Sum experience.
If you are a novice, a good start is Seaotter71’s “Dim Sum Primer,”
which explains: “Dim Sum is a Cantonese term that loosely translated means ‘close to the heart’ or ‘order to one’s heart’s content.’ Dim sum is usually had as
breakfast or brunch.”

In Texas, Ana Astri-O'Reilly, who had Dim Sum in Dallas, "thought it
was fun to see what surprises were inside the pots."

In Hong Kong alias843's "Very Authentic Dim Sum" explains, “This place
doesn’t cater to tourists so a certain amount of adventure and flexibility is required but if you’re up to the task, it will be a dining experience you won’t
forget.”

Having Dim Sum in Edinburgh turned into an adventure for Denise Scotland. “The good thing about Dim Sum is that you get to sample a nice variety
of different foods although I was not brave enough to try the chicken feet the diners at the next table were tucking into with gusto. I think I would have
welcomed some advice on ordering as it was our first time eating Dim Sum and we had no real idea of what to go for but in the end we made our choices and
were happy.”
