During the exciting finale of “America’s Next Great Restaurant,” it all came down to three contenders. From ten competitors over the last several months battling it out on national TV, “Soul Daddy” was victorious, chosen as “America’s Next Great Restaurant.” This new venture will be backed by restaurateurs Bobby Flay, Curtis Stone and Steve Ells, founder of Chipotle.
If you are a foodie who has been following the series, you may already be standing in line at one of three U.S. locations. New York City’s South Street Seaport, the Mall of America in Minneapolis, and Hollywood & Highland Center, Hollywood, California.
Starting on the East Coast, the South Street Seaport (seen above) is surrounded by history and Lower Manhattan is where you find “old” New York at its best. Dutchnatasja walked the Brooklyn Bridge and found the Seaport an ideal place to catch her breath. “Pier 17 is a 3 floor building with shops, restaurants and a food court. If you want to give your feet some rest, go to third floor. Here you’ll find lounge chairs overlooking the river. Although it was in December, the temperature was very good. It was very enjoyable to sit in the sun. You can imagine how it’s like in the summer! Sitting down, with a cool breeze, looking at the Brooklyn Bridge.”

The Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota, is the largest mall in the U.S. It is an amusement park, a shopping mall and an entertainment center and four floors of what travellingdave says is “where American Patriotism meets Commerce.” And did you know that over 5,000 weddings have taken place there at the Chapel of Love Wedding Chapel? After you’ve exhausted your shopping, dining and marriage options, jump on the Hiawatha Light Rail to catch a Twins game at Target Field, or over to the outdoor pedestrian friendly Nicollet Mall for a stroll through downtown Minneapolis.

Ending your trip at the Hollywood and Vine Center, you’re in Cali, no better place to be with summer fast approaching. We’ll take melissabowman’s advice that “one of the most visited spots by tourists in L.A. is probably Hollywood and Highland,” where you can find the Walk of Fame, the Kodak Theatre, home of the Academy Awards and the best city view of the iconic “Hollywood” sign. And since late night talk show “Jimmy Kimmel Live” is directly across the street, you might just happen upon an open-air concert broadcasting from the center.
