Quote: Durban was the coolest place! There was so much to do. The hotel we stayed at, Umhlanga Sands, had three pools, two restaurants, an arcade with a bowling alley, and a candy shop, and it was on the boardwalk! Fabulous! Gateway was awesome!

Quote: A holiday is perfect at Silversands, opposite to the beach in Durban, which you can enjoy with family and friends. The Silversands hotel was a comfortable place, with a self-catering facility, and the front-room window opens towards the sea, an excellent view. It’s also nice to experience the sea air.

Quote: Rekindling family ties, so I spent time with parents in their beautiful home in Zinkwazi, Darnall. Went on safari at hluhluwe Game Park, visited croc farms, shopped, and walked the beautiful beaches of Durban.

Quote: Where is there a more perfect winter in the world than KwaZulu Natal in South Africa? It's around 25 degrees Centigrade with an average of eight hours of sunshine a day, and there are plenty of beaches, sports, shops, etc.

Quote: Cabana Mio, Amanzimtoti, South Coast, KZN. This place had a wonderful location that was close to the beach and shops. It felt like being at home, but with a different view. Excellent service.

Quote: This was a fantastic trip from Durban to St. Lucia Estuary in Maputaland, close to Kwazulu Natal, where we spent our first week, then on to the magnificent Drakendbergs for week two, before heading back to Durban. This first journal describes week one.
