We were in Vegas over Thanksgiving and went to the Hard Rock Cafe for Thanksgiving meal. When we arrived we knew that something wasn't quite right when there were lines of homeless people. We've been to many Hard Rock Cafes, including the original in London. We've enjoyed them all and were not disappointed with this one. We wanted an informal atmosphere to go for dinner one night, perhaps a good burger or something, and we were not disappointed. The atmosphere was very friendly and the service was excellent. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful. The memorabilia was great. There were guitars, costumes from singers, and sheet music. This is something which all Hard Rock Cafe's have, and I never get tired of looking around at it. So, if you're hot (it was 103˚F when we were there in September) and feel like going somewhere for a great informal meal, the Hard Rock is your place.

It's not famous for its quality, but the price, so don't go there expecting you can get something out of your dollars. But hey! It's cheap!
Try it at least once and you'll know if it's for you. I do have friends who are not too crazy about it.

I really love Hard Rock Cafe's. The one in Vegas let me down a little because I didn't think they had too many collected items from the stars. But the food is great, and the price is right. This is located next to the Hard Rock Cafe Hotel. The whole family will enjoy this place. They also have children menus. If you decide to go make sure you order the Muchos Nachos. Yum!

The Hard Rock's 24-hour restaurant, "Mr. Lucky's", usually has unadvertised specials. These are not on the menu; you have to ask for them. The steak and shrimp for $5.99 is listed as one of the best values in Las Vegas, and it was very good when we had it. The steak, while not exactly filet mignon, was decent, while the shrimp (3) were excellent. Salad and potato were also included. As an added bonus, it is available 24 hours so when your red-eye flight lands and you are looking for some chow, this is a great place to go, especially if you follow it up with the 55-gallon drum they call a cup of coffee.

I can never be sure what the allure of the Hard Rock is, but expect a crowd. Waits of 10 to 30 minutes on the average. Wait to get in line and buy t-shirts and stuff if you aren't eating there, up to an hour. Pretty much the same as any other Hard Rock. Sits on the street in front of the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. The Cafe and the Casino have different logo gear, t-shirts, shot glasses etc. Hard core collectors buy a t-shirt from both locations! The food, you've been you know, high priced American, but served with a laugh and the decor is one of a kind rock collectibles. Always a good time!
