Quote: We just got back from Cancun, where we stayed at teh Westin Resort and Span. The location was great, the rooms were fantastic and the staff were incredible. We would stay again in a minute.
Quote: The Westin is a great facility. The beach is large and flat, especially compared to other resorts further north. There are pools on both sides of the building, so you can chase the sun, chase the shade or get out of the wind. The staff at the hotel restaurants was friendly and efficient. It is the furthest south (other than Club Med) but that is a bonus for getting on the bus - it is the first stop, so you always get a seat. The bus to town runs every 5 minutes and costs *, so our kids could come and go as they pleased.
Quote: The hotel is very nice and is situated on a quiet end of the hotel zone in Cancun. The beach is very clean and the sand is soft and smooth. We had a room on the first floor with a sliding door that opened onto a patio that was no more than 100 feet away from the beach. Each morning we were able to open the door and hear the ocean and view the morning the sun. Beautiful, beautiful sights and sound. Our room was very spacious; however, the only negative was the small shower. The hotel staff is very nice and helpful. We enjoyed our waiters at the El Palmar restaurant. We did not have an all-inclusive option to our hotel stay. This was our mistake. We will never go again without the all-inclusive. The all-inclusive includes all your meals and... Read More
Quote: Overall a very nice hotel! The staff could not have been more friendly and accomodating. Located righ on Kukulcan Blvd, the Westin Resort and Spa is just a stones throw from the action and the bus runs up and down the strip 24/7 so getting around is very easy and inexpensive. The pool and beach area were some of the best on the strip. The spa was wonderful too...the couples massage that we had under the oceanside cabana was out of this world! The only downsides were: we would have enjoyed poolside music and the Mexican Restaurant had limited hours of operation.
Quote: We loved our stay. The staff was very friendly. They all seemed to remember our names. The room was very comfortable, well maintained. Food, while a bit pricey, was great! Room service arrived promptly at the time requested. We appreciated the location. We went for relax time and not for the party atmosphere. The hotel fit the bill perfectly. We'd highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a "get-away" location, while still close enough to town for activities.
Quote: Not the nicest of hotels, a little dirty, staff not very friendly. Drive a little south to Playa del Carmen and you'll get MUCH nicer places for less money. The pool bar closes early (5 pm) and you can't get a drink at the beach/pool. They charge you $* a day extra to use the gym, wifi and breakfast. For that price go to a nice all-inclusive resort, even if you don't stay there all the time. Check-in and check-out slow. Had to move room due to noisy air-conditioner. Beach ok but annoyingly noisy with idiots powering over and back in their scooters. If you're not under 25 years old, don't stay near Cancun. Go to Isla Mujeres, Playa del Carmen, Cozumel etc. Of course, got stopped and shook-down by police just two minutes... Read More
Quote: This was the best trip of my entire life! The beach is awesome. The HOTEL staff was very helpful..Not the tour people..make sure you ask the hotel front staff about busses and listen to exactly what they say to get where you want to go. This is one of the first hotel stops from the airport so your about a 20 minute ride from all the craziness. But I recommend to go past all that and go to market 21 and further...rent a car and go anywhere you can..we rented one for two days.people are really helpful..I would stay at this hotel again in a heartbeat..as a matter of fact we are planning to go again in less than a year. very clean..beach out from was breathtaking. FIVE pools. We didnt get the all exclusive..we went to the store and stocked up... Read More
Quote: I would definitely stay again. This hotel was amazing. Nice, clean rooms. Nice staff. Great food. The front desk was very helpful and friendly.
Quote: We stayed at the Westin Resort and Spa in Cancun in late July 2009. We were quite pleased with the hotel, it was clean, quiet, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was a little dated, however, we had a beautiful ocean view from our balcony and Westin hotels have the most comfortable beds. The Royal Beach Club was worth every penny! We had a great buffet breakfast every morning and the happy hour was great with lots of appetizers. The conciege was always very helpful with dinner reservations and usually got us a free drink or appetizer at the restaurant. The hotel is very quiet, no loud music and partying, so it is good for families. The hotel is very close to the airport, being one of the first hotels on the... Read More
Quote: This was our very first trip to Cancun, and with much reasearch, I decided on the Westin...It was absolutely wonderful...I travelled with three teenagers and we all loved it...the first night our room was a little warm, notified the front desk first thing in the morning, and in 20 minutes maintenance was working on it and fixed...the beach was great..there are rocks around the beach and in the ocean...but it wasn't that bad...the staff is extremely helpful and friendly...the locals are also very friendly and very polite...we would absolutley go back to Cancun and stay at the Westin again...thanks for a great time...if you decide to go snorkling...book it through the hotel...the experience is breathtaking...
