Trip Ideas
Ever wish you could just hit a button and--boom--be somewhere else? You can. Exploring IgoUgo member journals and photos is one way to do it, for sure--or try out Globe Genie. Globe Genie, a site designed by MIT grad student Joe McMichael, whisks you to a random location on the continent of your choice the instant you hit the “shuffle” button. We visited downtown Helsinki, Finland, a rural street outside Durban, South Africa, the Neihu District in Taiwan, and a lonely country boundary road in Australia, all in about 5 minutes.
And since that made us hungry to travel for real, we had to then check out IgoUgo member fizzytom’s journal about Helsinki’s Korkeasaari Zoo, durbaniteUSA’s account of Durban’s spice-filled Victoria Street Market, skewedstyle’s beautiful photos of Taiwan, and LenR’s entire review-filled Sydney, Australia journal.
Some of skewedstyle's Taiwan photos:
Fishcakes at Nanmen Market
Meditation in Yangming Park
Ramshackle restaurant in Jinguashi
We’re re-inspired. It’s time to hit the road!
