Philadelphia has rolled out a new tool for visitors to teach them more about art and sculpture while on-the-go. Called the "Museum Without Walls," visitors who download an app to their phone (or call a phone number) can learn more about sights in the City of Brotherly Love while standing in front of them. Because it’s a museum on demand, there are no opening hours--it’s available anytime.

All told, there are 35 stops covering 51 works of art, with informational audio by over 100 museum curators and other Philadelphians connected to the works as part of the program. Among the locations: Robert Indiana’s iconic Love Sculpture, Rodin’s The Thinker (in front of the Rodin Museum, natch), the Rocky Sculpture (in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art), and Alexander Calder’s Swann Memorial Fountain. Yet to be added to the tour: a cheesesteak from Pat’s or Geno’s, though many in the city consider those sandwiches a work of art, too.
