Hey Igo fans! Today's the last day of our grand review giveaway.

Remember: we’re rewarding our lovely contributors with a giveaway. If you write a review on IgoUgo anytime before tomorrow, you can enter for a chance to win four free nights at a W Hotel in New York. We’re giving away three of those prizes. What’s more, one additional lucky winner will also get airfare to New York from where they live. Woot!

Each review is considered an additional entry in the contest, so the more reviews you write, the better your chances of winning. One more twist: write a review of a hotel and it’s worth two, count ‘em, two entries. So get those hotel reviews in to maximize your efforts. Good luck!

It's very disappointing that an organization that encourages participation from travelers all over the world often holds contests that only residents of the United States can enter.

Absolutely - I'll second that.

I love Igougo but I'm getting really sick of us non-Americans being excluded from every competition that comes along. Why can't we win and buy our own tickets to New York? Or win and give them to friends in the USA who haven't had a good holiday in a long time? Please reconsider your rules for the competitions or come up with something that non-US residents can compete for.

I agree too. I don't really understand why non-Americans are excluded. It's very disappointing when active members like myself don't have an opportunity to enter. It would be much better if the reules were changed so everyone was included.

i am another one who feels disappointed by the exclusion of non-US residents. The site benefits from its international membership. I think non-US members would realise that they can't expect to get their airfares included but if I knew I could win free accomodation I would happily look to getting my own flights.

I have to agree - this is a great competition but it's a real shame that non-US members are excluded from these competitions. The cost of an airfare from Europe to New York would be higher than a domestic US fare, but maybe you could consider doing international competitions, maybe 4 nights in Paris for European members for example.

Hey guys,

Would LOVE if we could give stuff to our non-US members, but legally, we're not set up to do it. In fact, even Rhode Island here in the US is excluded from our giveaways.

As always, my apologies. We love you guys--and our Rhode Island contributors!--just as much as our US members.

Does this mean that you will NEVER be able to open a competition to non US residents? I find that bizarre. I'm a member of another site that's active in 5 continents and can still manage competitions that everyone can enter.

I would love to find a cheap last minute easter trip for my family of four...that is why I am here today. Winning this NYC trip would just be icing for the cake! thanks for the opportunity

Have to agree with Koshka - seems very odd that competitions can't be opened up to non US residents.

We would love a chance to visit New York City. It offers so much to do - theater, museums, concerts, restaurants, and more. We usually go for family functions and add a few additional days to take in all we can. We have found the Excelsior Hotel to be in a wonderful location, a great boutique hotel, and usually priced well. Wishing who ever wins a wonderful time in New York City

So in practice it is "I US go, u non- US no-go ?"
With some international distances even shorter than domestic ones I am sure non-US airlines are offering their free promotional tickets. What are the 'legal ' constraints shutting the rest of the world out of a worldwide website ?

Oh boy! If I was still living in Rhode Island, I would be screwed out of the contests. It is too bad they can't allow the non-US citizens to enter the contests. Wish there was a loophole for all to participate in the contests.
