A summer trip to the medieval Spanish city of
Santillana del Mar by member
proxam2 left impressions in our minds of roads less traveled. This area of Spain is known as Green Spain because of the large amounts of precipitation it accumulates over the year. However, the real gem that caught our eye was the beautiful cobblestone streets depicting the days of yore. This charming town was made even more picturesque by the beautiful stone roads constructed hundreds of years ago.
Cobblestone streets are iconic of historic neighborhoods of cities and towns all over the world. The charm of these pedestrian walkways takes us back to days of horses and buggies and oil-lit lanterns. We browsed our members' photos to find some of the quaintest rocky roads that our members have traveled.
